Sexing RB's

Post by frogmom on Fri Oct 05, 2012 10:01 am

I always thought males had the spurs visible on either side if the vent, but have also read this is not accurate.
Any one share a thought on this ?

I'd say 99.99% of the time you'll find the spurs on males. Females won't have them which makes visual sexing so easy.

It's very accurate. Even if a female has spurs, they are usually straight and not curved like a male's, and will often only have spur instead of two.
I've learned that Rosies are a little different than other boas that way.
